Award-Winning Ambrosia Restaurant Announces New Fall Menu

The award-winning Ambrosia Restaurant is pleased to announce the new winter menu is now available. The 5-star Ambrosia Restaurant features contemporary French cuisine and is located inside the OC Pavilion performing arts center in Santa Ana. The menu changes with the seasons to ensure that guests are offered the best choices, including seafood, steaks, chicken, lamb chops and veal. Dinner guests are also treated to a live jazz performance, Wednesday through Saturday.

Ambrosias menu features a celebration of the seasonal marketplace with the culinary artistry of Executive Chef Michael Rossi. The fall menu offers some tantalizing options with new additions to the starters including Vitello Tonnato (Ahi Sashimi served with Crispy Veal Sweetbreads), Hand Harvested Maine Sea Scallops, Wild Boar 'a la Nonna', and Alaskan Golden King Crab Cannelloni. The starters still include Ambrosia's famous Shrimp Scampi which is prepared Tableside, Wild Burgundy Snails, American Raised 'Kobe' Beef Carpaccio and Sonoma Artisan Foie Gras.

The salads and soups include a return of the popular Heirloom Tomato and Watermelon Salad, Ambrosia Waldorf Salad and Traditional Caesar Salad served Tableside. The soup selection includes Five Onion Soup and a Farmers Market Soup of Season. Featured land entrees include Colorado Lamb T-Bones, Venison Chop, 'Certified Black Angus' Prime Beef Short Rib, and Confit of Muscovy Duck Leg. Featured sea entrees include Tasmanian Ocean Trout, Eastern Skate Wing, and Virginia Wild Striped Bass.

The restaurant is adorned with custom leather booths, dim lighting and one-of-a-kind dcor that recreates the feeling of Parisian romance. Dinner guests are swooned to the smooth sounds of live jazz standards from local Orange County jazz greats including Jennifer Hart, Gina Saputo, Leslie Lewis, Rose Mallet, David Miller and Matt Politano.

Ambrosia also offers incredible tableside services including flamb desserts, salads, shrimp scampi and other tableside specials.

Gayot.com, restaurant review site, states, “Ambrosias first-class service is as over-the-top as the dcor."

Ambrosia is also open for lunch with special executive lunch options for the business person on the go that includes a starter (soup or salad), entre and dessert priced at $24.50 and an express lunch option that includes a soup, choice of sandwich and a choice of seasonal sorbet priced at only $20. In addition, the restaurant is also open for happy hour, with a newly redesigned lounge area, happy hour menu and special drink prices. Ambrosia offers one of the latest happy hours in Orange County, running until 7:30 PM Tuesday through Friday.

The dining experience does not stop at the restaurant and with advanced reservations guests can reserve one of 5 private dining rooms for groups ranging from 8 to 22. The Boardroom, featuring a hand-painted ceiling, 1877 Steinway piano and large comfortable seats offers room for a party of up to 12 guests. The Wine Cellar, with a faux brick ceiling, temperature controlled air, and room to store more than 3400 bottles of wine, offers the experience of elegant European dining and fits parties up to 20. The Lodge offers 9 humidors, mirrors, dark, natural wood, often found in mountain lodges, and a rumored secret door, leading to a Birdseye view of the OC Pavilion main stage. The Lodge seats parties up to 14.

El Presidente is a celebration of the finest tequilas, featuring a tribute art piece to Pancho Villa with a dark tequila-hued painted ceiling and highball shot glasses at each seat. El Presidente is available for parties up to 8 or the doors can be opened adjoining it with the Dome of Sea for parties up to 22. Dome of the Sea, celebrating the worlds finest champagnes, is highlighted with an imported 3400 crystal chandelier, champagne flutes, and soothing art romancing the beauty of the sea.
