Austin-based jazz trumpeter and composer Jeff Lofton is featured in Macy's American Icons summer fashion campaign celebrating American landscapes and people.
In addition to photos in the print campaign and an interview online, the campaign features video of the Jeff Lofton Trio at their long- running residency in the lounge at Ruth's Chris Steak House at 6th & Congress, in Austin. Lofton has led the Thursday happy hour residency, 5:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. weekly, for over five years and the trio includes Grammy-winning drummer Ernie Durawa and bassist Glenn Shuetz.
The campaign also raises funds to support American veterans through Got Your 6.
The campaign was shot in O'ahu, Atlanta, Austin, Havana, and San Francisco's Chinatown. The Austin segment of the campaign also features Austinite Todd Sanders of Roadside Relics.
