To celebrate Jazz Appreciation Month (JAM), the Brooklyn Historical Society has teamed up with Brooklyn's Up Over Jazz Cafe to present a series of Friday night performances at the Historical Society. Held in the Society's exquisite, newly renovated national landmark building, the sessions will take place April 2, 16, 23, and 30 at the corner of Pierrepont and Clinton Streets in Brooklyn Heights, New York. Admission is free with admission to the Society ($6/adults, $4/students & seniors). Details follow:

Friday, April 16, 6:30-8pm Jazz guitar with the Darryl Pooser Duo
Friday, April 23, 6:30-8pm Eric Wyatt Trio Friday, April 30, 6:30-8pm Sam Newsome Duo.
