Brian Cashwell is a recent transplant from Cincinnati where he played jazz piano and organ at many area venues including The Blue Wisp, Chez Nora, Kaldi’s, and the Northside Tavern. He has also played for touring productions of The Producers, Phantom of the Opera, Hairspray, Pacific Overtures, and other Broadway shows at the Aronoff Center and Cincinnati’s Playhouse in the Park and also served as accompanist for the Cincinnati Ballet. In New York, Brian has worked as an accompanist for The School of American Ballet, Steps on Broadway, Ballet Academy East, and The Boys Choir of Harlem. His first jazz CD – Pure Imagination – is available at CDbaby.com .
Philadelphia has a long tradition of producing great jazz musicians and Dylan Taylor has emerged as another auspicious talent carrying on this legacy as a master cellist and bassist. Through the years Dylan has performed with internationally acclaimed artists such as Herbie Hancock, Freddie Hubbard, Mose Allison, Lee Konitz and Charlie Byrd. Taylor’s vinyl credits include bass work on three Heath Allen CDs and cello work on Khan Jamal’s album Percussion and Strings.
Willard Dyson, an active and extremely talented drummer on the New York and international music scenes, came to New York from the San Francisco Bay area. A versatile musician , his ingenuity is at home in a myriad of rhythmic genres and he works regularly with a diverse group of musicians including Regina Belle, Grady Tate, Jimmy Scott, The New York Voices, Dakota Station, and Cassandra Wilson. He is also active on the local jazz scene playing at clubs as well as in various Broadway and off-Broadway shows.
