All About Jazz-New York, New York's leading monthly jazz print publication has been nominated for “Best Periodical Covering Jazz" by the Jazz Journalists Association (JJA) for the 10th Annual JJA Jazz Awards.

Launched in 2002 by Laurence Donohue-Greene, Managing Editor, and Andrey Henkin, Editorial Director/Production Manager, AAJ-NY has grown in circulation (14,000 monthly), pages (44-48) and drop sites (near 200 throughout New York City). States Donohue-Greene, “This first-time nomination of 'Best Periodical Covering Jazz' by our peers at the Jazz Journalist Association is certainly a thrill. It's also proof positive that we have become more widely recognized over the course of our now 4-year history not only by our fellow New Yorkers as THE trusted source for jazz information but nationwide and even internationally. Just having a quick look at our competitors in this category--Downbeat, Jazztimes, CODA--shows that by acting locally to the extent we have devoted ourselves and our publication to, we have now been recognized globally. And we're grateful for this recognition."
