Alabama Blues Project Featuring Debbie Bond and Caroline Shines Sept. 29

Saturday, September 29, The Alabama Kids' Club at the Alys Stephens Center in Birmingham will be hosting two interactive performances by the Alabama Blues Project featuring blues women Debbie Bond and Caroline Shines at 10am & 11:30am.

These educational performances are open to the public. This program is a mixture of performance, lecture, and participation, through which participants are introduced to the historical and cultural significance of blues music, from its West African roots, through slavery times and Reconstruction, to modern Chicago style blues and beyond.
