FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE -- Kansas City USA: Master jazz artist, composer, and IAJE clinician, Ahmad Alaadeen performed as a part of the American Jazz Museum's Blue Room Series: “Celebrating Bird!". Alaadeen is one of our most important musicians in jazz and one of the musicians today who is among the next generation after Charlie Parker. His performance during the final part of a 3-part series of concerts held within the historic 18th and Vine Jazz District of Kansas City featured 4 generations in the line of Kansas City jazz saxophonists.

The Blue Room performances concluded on March 27th with the concert that featured: Ahmad Alaadeen, Bobby Watson, Hal Melia, Jim Mair, and Logan Richardson on saxophones. Bobby Watson also ably doubled as master of ceremonies for much of an evening that included outstanding individual and collective performances to a packed house.

Among those in attendance later in the evening were journalist, Stanley Crouch and a couple of today's brightest stars in jazz, Charles McPherson and Tom Harrell, who had just concluded a performance at the nearby Gem Theater of “The Charlie Parker Memorial Concert". Their performance was a part of the American Jazz Museum
