akiko pavolka's house of illusion is known for their energetic live shows, combining jazz with elements of rock, funk, electronica. feturered musicians will be akiko pavolka on vocals and piano, peter hess on tenor sax and bass clarinet, pete rende on electric piano, pedal steel guitar and accordion, matt pavolka on upright and electric basses and blake lindberg on drums and percussion. yukinori omura of swing journal comments, “she is a gifted singer with a natural yet characteristic voice and a talent for writing eccentric and attractive music and lyrics... her interpretation is fresh and full of originality".
