'Africa Straight Ahead' Spotlights the Best of the South African Jazz Scene

Scheduled to coincide with the historic ten year anniversary of the end of apartheid, AFRICA STRAIGHT AHEAD spotlights some of South Africa's leading jazz musicians playing their own compositions.

Set for release on February 24, AFRICA STRAIGHT AHEAD combines the sounds of hard bop, swing and soul with the essence of Africa. This latest recording in the Heads Up Africa series includes Darius Brubeck & Afro Cool Concept, Hotep Idris Galeta, Paul Hanmer, Moses Khumalo, McCoy Mrubata, Bheki Mseleku, Andy Narell, Zim Ngqawana, The Sheer All Stars, Voice and Marcus Wyatt. Cover art features an African illustration by Frank Morrison.
