Acclaimed Jazz Pianist Peter Martin Launches Unique Approach To Music Lessons

SAINT LOUIS, MISSOURI—Renowned jazz pianist, composer, educator and arranger Peter Martin has announced his new online approach to music education at petermartinmusic.com/lessons. Through his innovative method of musical education, Mr. Martin provides eager jazz students the opportunity to fine-tune their musical mastery, offering full-length video lessons online in addition to one-on-one Skype lessons, a monthly Online Master Class and 2-Minute Jazz Piano Lessons. This complete online instructional program features exclusive members-only sessions that offer weekly instruction by Mr. Martin, along with a robust archive of previous lessons which students can review at any time. In addition, members of Mr. Martin's program will have exclusive access to various downloads of exercises and sheet music. Content is available to members only and is offered at two different monthly pricing levels.

A native of Saint Louis, Missouri, Peter Martin is known for his work as an accomplished jazz pianist, composer, arranger and educator. His touring career has taken him to six continents numerous times and in January 2011, Mr. Martin performed with a select group of jazz artists at the White House for a State Dinner hosted by President Obama. As Musical Director and Pianist for vocalist Dianne Reeves, he performed on and arranged her Grammy® winning release A Little Moonlight and appeared in George Clooney's 2005 film Good Night, and Good Luck as well as being the featured pianist and arranger on its Grammy® winning soundtrack. Additionally, Peter has also performed, toured and recorded with Wynton Marsalis, Chris Botti, Betty Carter, Christian McBride and Joshua Redman as well as the Berlin Philharmonic, Chicago Symphony Orchestra and the New York Philharmonic.

Membership to Peter Martin's Jazz Piano Lessons includes full access to a wide variety of information on core musical concepts including scales, jazz-specific improvisation, transposition and solo performance practices. Shot in high-definition at a variety of venues around the world, Mr. Martin's students are able to watch the lessons on their computer, laptop, iPhone, iPod, Android and iPad. About Peter Martin Music

Raised by parents who are both classical musicians, Peter began studying violin and piano at age three. After graduating from high school, Peter received the Presidential Scholar in the Arts award from President Reagan. He then attended The Juilliard School in New York on scholarship, studying with Martin Canin, until moving to New Orleans in 1990. Additionally, Peter has also performed, toured and recorded with Wynton Marsalis, Chris Botti, Betty Carter, Christian McBride and Joshua Redman as well as the Berlin Philharmonic, Chicago Symphony Orchestra and the New York Philharmonic.
