With nearly 1,500 images in the database and new images added daily, the AAJ Visual Arts Center will soon become another useful web-based resource for jazz enthusiasts.
Prior to our new system, we created each art exhibit manually, which took a fair amount of time and effort. With the new database-driven system, artists can upload their photographs, paintings and illustrations themselves--and not have to involve us in the process," says Michael Ricci, AAJ's Founder and Publisher. The new system can support an unlimited number of exhibits, and we're inviting hundreds of visual artists to participate. We already have 30+ exhibits and 1,400+ images online. All searchable."
As always, AAJ is committed to developing technology-driven systems that serve all aspects of the online jazz community. The Visual Arts Center will become a central source for jazz images and promote visual artists who have material to sell and license.
