Singer-songwriter, Anne Phillips, known for her classic album “Born To Be Blue" will

appear at the Triad with Matt Perri, a former student of hers at NYU. A jazz piano major

who also sang in many theatrical productions, Mr Perri’s free lance work now includes rehearsal accompanist/coach for Bette Midler and vocal arranger for the Harlettes for Ms.

Midler's current “Kiss My Brass" tour. About Mr. Perri, Ms Midler says: “Matt Perri is

one half expert pianist, one half brilliant tenor and one half the size of Pavarotti."

Also a composer, lyricist and arranger, Ms. Phillips is seen every year conducting her timeless Christmas event “Bending Towards the Light…A Jazz Nativity." With Mr.

Perri at the piano they will perform a wide variety of songs from Harold Arlen to Chic

Corea,…from Matt Perri to Anne Phillips. The evening will include several songs from

Ms. Phillips' upcoming off-Broadway show, “Damn Everything But the Circus."

“A captivating performer" Richard S. Ginell, Variety,

“Anne Phillips, where have you been all my life?" Rex Reed
