651 ARTS Celebrates 15 Years of Theater, Dance, Humanities, and Music programming grounded in the African Diaspora, with a 15th Anniversary Gala Celebration and performance by Cassandra Wilson. Founded in conjunction with the rehabilitation of the historic Majestic Theater (now the BAM Harvey Theater) in 1989, 651 ARTS has grown from a neighborhood concert presenter to an internationally renowned arts institution benefiting audiences, artists, and organizations far beyond its Brooklyn home base.
The evening will honor special guests who have made distinguished contributions to the arts and culture.
