45 hours non-stop?!!!
Guitarist and co-host Willie Oteri in conjunction with organizers, Chris Boulet, Cantina Musicali and Factory 04 have successfully completed a non stop 45 hour improvisation of Jazz, Rock and World music in Padua Italy held on April 24,25 and 26, 2005 featuring a rotating cast of musicians from around the globe.
Highlights of the event include several jams with core musicians Willie Oteri, German drummer Schroeder, special guest bass master Tony Levin and an early morning ambient session with Levin and Producer musician Ronan Chris Murphy.
Other guests of note include trumpeter John Capobianco, sax man Matteo Pescarolo, blues guitarist Enrico Crivellaro, Producer Cookie Marenco and musicians from Africa, Iran and many parts or Europe.
Several hours of the event were video taped including interviews with Levin, Oteri, Murphy and Boulet.
Plans for similar events from 33 to 45 hours including a 78-hour event are in the works.
