25th AMR Jazz Festival
From 7th to 9th April 2006
In Alhambra - Geneva (Switzerland)
The swiss association, the AMR, proposes 4 concerts series which will present some talents from the local or regional area, and the following internationally reknown artists : Andrew Hill, Chris Potter, Bill Frisell, Instant Composers Pool Orchestra.
The AMR is also an association which manages in a building (which has just been renewed and enlarged) daily jazz workshops ; it welcomes in its two halls, daily concerts of regional and international artists. It also publishes a monthly magazine; it takes part in a variety of events, and it organises festivals.
The AMR is therefore an association which is unique in Europe in its ambitions, its management and its function which are totally devoted to Jazz and improvised music, and whose culmination is the organisation of a festival every year.
