25 Companies That Cracked the SXSW Noise Floor...
When it comes to 'noise floors,' SXSW practically has one glued to the ceiling. There are thousands of bands, companies, people, and events clamoring for attention, and yes—this is literally noise in many situations.
Which makes it so incredibly hard to cut through, and raises serious questions about marketing strategy and investment. But who pulled it off? Here's a list of (mostly) music-related companies that managed to cut through the clutter at SXSW Music.
The yardstick? We first collected a list of nearly 888+ companies at the event (published last week), then tracked each one daily on Twitter. Specifically, any mention of a company name paired with '#sxsw' between start of SXSW Music on March 16th (Wednesday) and March 21st (weekend) was recorded. Some of these results are obvious, others may completely surprise you.
