12th Annual Oris Spirit of Jazz Concert Series

Free Lunchtime Concert Series and Bob Dylan Exhibition New York, NY.

Oris Swiss Watches along with WGBO-Jazz 88 Presents the 12th Annual Oris Spirit of Jazz Concert Series on June 9th and 16th from Noon to 2 p.m. in the atrium of the Tourneau TimeMachine, the world’s largest watch store, located at 57th Street and Madison Avenue in midtown Manhattan. The free lunchtime concerts will coincide with an exhibit celebrating the music of legendary American singer and songwriter, Bob Dylan. Influenced by a variety of music genres, Dylan has often covered tracks of vintage blues and jazz performers, or integrated elements from them into his own work.



Kicking off this year’s concert series on June 9th will be seasoned jazz drummer, Winard Harper. Saxophonist, composer and educator, Tia Fuller brings her group to the Tourneau TimeMachine on June 16th. The free performances, from Noon to 2p.m., will feature two 45- minute sets at Noon and 1 p.m.

The exhibition of rare, Bob Dylan memorabilia and photographs, including an original poster of Bob Dylan with Joan Baez, and a selection of original album covers will be on display at the Tourneau Exhibit Hall in the lower level of the Tourneau TimeMachine, from June through August 2009. Exhibit Hall viewing hours are 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Mon-Wed, Fri and Sat., 10a.m.-7 p.m. on Thursdays and 11:30 a.m. -5:30 p.m. on Sundays.
