Zachary Worthy

Zachary Worthy began lessons at the age of five, a student of jazz and classical piano. As a jazz performer, he is known for his outstanding brio and creativity; his lyrical lines and runs have drawn comparison to Oscar Peterson and Keith Jarrett. His flexible playing has made him in demand, and he's performed with many notable artists such as The Worthy Brothers, RiverKnot Jazz, Steve Kirby Quartet, East Coast Stroke, Emminet Soul, 4ThaGruv and many others. In his live concerts he has also demonstrated impressive mastery of some devilishly difficult classical pieces such as a Franz Liszt’s Transcendental etude No.10. A prolific composer, he has composed two solo piano albums, two piano concertos, a piano and flute sonata and has had many of his works performed by the Boulder Chamber Orchestra. With the Hub Opera he has performed such classics as "La Bohème" and "The Turn of the Screw".
