Viktor Benev Quartet

The vibraphone is a percussion instrument that owes it's fame mostly to jazz music. Musicians like Gary Burton, Milt Jackson, Lionel Hampton have left their fingerprints in the history of that genre. Composing and finding a way to use this particular instrument has always been a challenge and it's that challenge that's the moving force behind Viktor Benev's Quartet. Founded in 2013, the group has reached the finals of the Jazz Tremplin « Jazz à Lagny », has participated in the festival « Jazz sur Seine » and is performing throughout France. The ensemble has recorded two intstrumental compositions, « Irises » (released in october 2014) and « La fleur a fleuri », which will be released in april 2015.
