Tim Larkin
Tim Larkin is a jazz trumpeter, pianist, and award-winning composer whose music bridges the worlds of jazz, film, and gaming. A lifelong musician — piano since age four, trumpet since nine — he has shared the stage with legends including James Brown, Ella Fitzgerald, Tony Bennett, Natalie Cole, and Sheila E.
As a composer and sound designer, Tim has worked on acclaimed projects across television and video games, even contributing to an Academy Award–winning team. His music is known for its emotional depth, rich storytelling, and ability to connect across genres.
His latest album, Setting Standards, brings his artistry full circle — reimagining timeless jazz classics with his own voice on trumpet and piano. The album’s first single, Heart of Mine, features Earth, Wind & Fire drummer John Paris, adding soulful fire to Tim’s lyrical horn lines.
Currently based in Spokane, WA, Tim continues to perform, record, and compose, always exploring new ways to bring fresh life to the jazz tradition while drawing from his wide-ranging musical journey.
