Tim Lancaster

Tim Lancaster is a trained and educated jazz drummer, composer, and band leader. He performs regularly with his group and as a session player in the New York City area. Having played with some of today's finest musicians, he's enjoying his latest project: leading the dynamic jazz outfit The Tim Lancaster Group.

Tim's musical tastes are also very varied, spanning many modern musical genera. As a multi-instrumentalist, he sings, plays guitar and piano to his original indie rock tunes.

Tim has also been exploring electronica music in his digital home studio. "I really love working with Logic 9 and my Apple computer. As a composer's tool and as an idea generator, you just can't beat it. I recently started using Spectronic's Omnisphere and it's like discovering a new universe, as the sounds and textures are simply amazing. I highly recommend trying it."
