On this show we chat with Tammy McCann, Chicago-based jazz vocalist, composer and educator. Ms. McCann began her singing career in the late 1990's as a gospel and opera performer, touring Europe with bands including Wonderbrass and the Voices of Glory. Most recently, in 2019, she debuted a tribute to the legendary gospel singer Mahalia Jackson in the musical production Yes--Mahalia, which was performed in 2022 at the Musical Institute of Chicago.
