The musicians met for the first time in 2021, and the resultant synergy was so profoundly unique that it impelled them to perpetuate their collaborative efforts. This endeavor gave birth to an extensive concert tour and an album, meticulously recorded during a performance at the legendary "Ciągoty i Tęsknoty" venue in Łódź, in the month of February 2023.
Their muse, stemming from the imaginative realms crafted by Stanisław Lem, transcends the conventional; for Lem, like no other, had the power to breathe vitality into machines and conjure forth futuristic cosmic domains. Within Lem's literary oeuvre, the reverberations and resonances emitted by machinery assume an extraordinary role, not merely in the establishment of mood and ambiance, but also in conferring upon these mechanical entities an eerie semblance of human attributes.
While the quartet's initial musical foray was steeped in improvisation, over time, they sculpted six distinct compositions, each representing an odyssey through the literary cosmos of the maestro. These musicians are on an unwavering quest for novel modes of artistic expression, experimenting ardently with form, all the while subjecting it to the sacred rules of narrative. They do not seek to directly replicate specific tales, scenes, or incidents but instead aspire to craft musical landscapes and domains, all inspired by the kaleidoscopic tapestry of Lem's literary masterpieces.
