Sergey Klevensky

A composer and virtuoso multi-instrumentalist (from the clarinet to the bagpipe), he is one of Russia’ most demanded musicians. As a teenager Sergey played clarinet with the famous Loktev Song and Dance Ensemble. Later he graduated from the clarinet class at the Moscow Conservatory.

Sergey’s musical collaborations include working with the likes of Alexey Rybnikov, Sergei Nikitin, Dmitry Malikov, Vladimir Presnyakov, Kim Breitburg and Djivan Gasparian.

Sergey’s work is featured on The Wolfhound and Prince Vladimir motion pictures soundtracks. He also toured with Inna Zhelannaya and The Farlanders, performing at most prestigious international festivals. Sergey is a member of Ivan Smirnov Quartet.

Sergey has recorded and played with a wide range of internationally acclaimed musicians, such as Ian Anderson (Jеthго Тull), Tony Levin (Jоhn Lennon, Peter Gаbгiеl), Trey Gunn (Кiпg Сгimsоn) and Brian May (Queen).

In the summer of 2015 Sergey performed Sergey Rachmaninoff’s Vocalise on reed pipe inside Rostov Veliky’s Kremlin with the New Opera Orchestra conducted by Dmitry Volosnikov.

Sergey has recorded 3 solo albums. One of them was nominated for the album of the year in 2008.
