Sarah Riedel

Sarah Lina Anna Henrietta Riedel, born in Stockholm, is a Swedish singer, musician and composer focusing on jazz and show.

Sarah Riedel is the daughter of Georg Riedel. She trained at the School of Music and Drama at Gothenburg University , where she earned bachelor's degree in 2009. She debuted as a five year on World's Best Astrid with the song "Little Cat" and has since appeared in a number of CDs, radio and television, as well as produced numerous concerts.

In 2008, she received the Sten A. Olsson cultural scholarship. In February 2010, she was nominated for Swedish Radio prestigious award Jazzkatten newcomer of the year, and in April the same year, she released her first solo album, Memories of a Lost Lane.

In 2014 released the album Sarah Riedel By night she produced together with Martin Hederos (Soundtrack of our lives, Tonbruket etc.). The album was nominated for both the Manifest Prize and Grammy in the category "This year's show."

In 2013 was appointed Sarah Riedel to Music Director and Artist in Residence at the Culture City Theatre in Stockholm. There she worked with among others the Royal Opera, set to music texts by Kristina Calm in the show Calm and Riedel, and formulating texts by Barbro Lindgren in production I have a sea inside me.
