Sabino de Bari

Sabino de Bari is an Italian composer and guitarist based in London.  He graduated in composition cum laude and in classical guitar.

He released solo guitar albums (Pas de Chat, In Lontananza) including Nubes and Loop Quantum Gravity for decacorde (10 strings guitar) and ensemble music albums (Voices, Lo Racconta il Mare, It’s All We Have). Various artists have recorded some of his chamber music works, including the album "Mediterranean". He has collaborated as a composer and guitarist in various projects including "On A Cloud" with Diana Torti.

As a composer, his music has been performed in Italy, England, France, Austria, Spain, China and Mexico. His composition “Nubi”, for string orchestra, has received an honourable mention at the “Premio Sinopoli” 2017 composition competition while his composition “Gloucester” for orchestra won the third prize in the “Premio Abbado” composition competition (2015 Edition). ​

Among his published pieces, “Valse des Troix Oisons” was included in the “14 Selected Pieces By New Composers” collection, presented by Leo Brouwer for the “Roberto Fabbri Signature Series” (Ed. Carisch). 

He published his guitar method for children “The Sounds of the Guitar”, where creative and performing skills are taught through exciting original music pieces, including extended techniques for a fun approach to music learning. His extensive experience in performing includes recording and collaborations since 2001, as a soloist and ensemble leader in several international music festivals and contexts.
