Rexx Life Raj
He transitions from hilarious anecdotes and clever isms to heartfelt gems about relationships, the loss of his best friends, and self-reflection, often making him both teacher and class clown on the same record. With his uncanny ability to shift seamlessly from rapping his ass off to singing his heart out, Rexx Life Raj has become one of Northern California rap music's most critically acclaimed voices.
Raj solidified his relentless work ethic as a football player for the Division 1 football powerhouse, Boise State University. Although his talents on the field earned him a full scholarship, Raj admits that football was never his real passion; music was.
After graduating, Raj returned to Berkeley to concentrate on his music career, releasing music that has accumulated over 150 Million plays worldwide and seen editorial support from iTunes, Apple Music, Spotify, TIDAL, YouTube, Amazon, Soundcloud and more. In the process, he has garnered accolades from national press outlets such as Pitchfork, VICE, Billboard, The FADER, Pigeons and Planes, XXLand more, recently making Complex's artist to watch in 2019 list as well as Pigeons and Planes best new artist round up.
Raj's talent has also made him a collaborator of star contemporaries such as Kehlani, G-Eazy, Russ, Bas, Mozzy, Lecrae, Kenny Beats, LoLo Zouai and many more as well as tour alongside Bas, Mr. Carmack, and Marc E Bassy.
