Peter Axelsson

Peter Axelsson started in early years with piano, and by the age of eight, with cornet in the Salvation Army. At fourteen he turned to the double bass. At eighteen he joined the Kavesta school of Music in Orebro in Sweden, and from there he was accepted as a student of Red Mitchell who lived in Stockholm. Peter has played concerts with musicians such as Gerry Mulligan, Chet Baker, Hank Jones, Shelly Manne and others.
