N’Kenge
Multi-talented vocalist N'Kenge may be making her Jazz debut with her lush, elegant and exquisitely rendered version of the Rodgers & Hart classic "Bewitched, Bothered, And Bewildered," but she's long been a giant in other arenas in the music industry. A Tony, Emmy and Grammy-nominated artist, she's headlined pop, opera and symphony concerts throughout the country, has appeared several times on Broadway and, thanks to her recent funky worldbeat single "Goosebump Moment," a bona fide TikTok star with 233K+ views and 26M+ total TikTok followers reached. Blessed with a five-octave range, N'Kenge brings perfect phrasing and an intense, emotional power to "Bewitched" that brings profound freshness to the lyrics. It's the lead single from her debut album CENTERSTAGEf: LIVE FROM THE ELLA FITZGERALD FESTIVAL.
N’Kenge has performed as a soloist at world-renowned illustrious performance venues such as Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center’s Alice Tully Hall, Madison Square Garden and has headlined Pop and Opera concerts with Houston Symphony, Seattle Symphony, Jacksonville Symphony, Cincinnati Symphony, Indianapolis Symphony, and Cleveland Orchestra, to name a few. N’Kenge has graced the stage as a presenter at the 58th Annual NY Emmy Awards. She has performed for US Presidents, global dignitaries, and in prestigious venues across
Europe and the US. A proud alumni of both The Juilliard School and Manhattan School of Music, N’Kenge made her Broadway debut in Sondheim on Sondheim and was most recently on Broadway in the Tony-winning revival of Caroline, or Change. This energetic, well-rounded singer has performed with jazz greats, like Ornette Coleman and Wynton Marsalis.
In addition to her performances, N’Kenge is currently developing a Broadway-bound musical celebrating Dorothy Dandridge’s life and music. She is also developing a new TV musical dramedy, Black Butterfly, which she is co-producing with TV producer Gina G. Goff (Goff Productions). As a recording artist, N’Kenge recently released her new hit single, “Goosebump Moment” (Randall House), with a new music video that premiered on Vents Magazine.
