Nutopia
Like Django, Michael found his companion in a violinist; Sebastian Gruchot, and with gypsy jazz in the luggage they went to Africa to find new ways to go with their music. Their meeting with african musicians and different musical traditions became the beginning of Nutopia. By using elements from the European gypsy jazz and mix it with African folk music they soon developed a universal musical language.
Together with Audun Ramo on double-bass, Michael and Sebastian went out on new adventures, and after some time they found Arild Nyborg from the group Stomp. He had already been around the world some years and added great experience trough his musical travels in India, Brazil, Turkey, Jordan, Spain and Cuba.
Nutopia gives you gypsy music, african rhythms and exotic arabic elements in a virtuous combination.
