Dave Kline

The Dave Kline Band features Dave Kline (violin, electric violin, guitar, composer) - A distinct sound and goal:

The sound - blends the modern genres of rock, blues, jazz, funk and folk with the sonic palette of the world’s cultures. With high-energy, combustion, emotional impact.

The goal - inspiring a greater level of art and creativity in our world. Compositions, musicians, audiences, venues and the performance are all vital elements of music and recordings. One could credibly say the audience is the most important part of the show - the audience essentially co-creates the music and experience of the performance, attaining exhilaration for all.

Guest Artists with the band include French Canadian chanteuse Lynn Veronneau, Ken Avis from North of England on vocals, Zulf Baghirov from Azerbaijan on sax / clarinet and American Dan Paul on keys, Olaolu Ajibade drums, Jon Laine drums, Kurt Kratch bass.

The Dave Kline Band has performed to diverse audiences and sold out shows at Blues Alley, Strathmore Mansion, Amp at Strathmore, and Gypsy Sally’s among other notable Washington, DC area establishments. Festival appearances include the Big Band Jam on the National Mall, the Alexandria Jazz and World Festivals, the Petworth Jazz Project, Takoma Park JazzFest, the Manassas Summer Series and the Hyattsville Summer Concert Series. Shows have been featured in the Washington Post, DCist, and the Brightest Young Things DC Outdoor Concert Guide.

The Dave Kline Band has released several albums of original music with its most recent album released “Shifting Borders” reaching #1 on the Top 50 Jazz Albums.
