Thomas Jonasson

THOMAS JONASSON (born 1948), is one of southern Sweden's best kept secrets. Thomas has played with jazz giants such as Scott Hamilton, Lars Erstrand and Jan Lundgren to name a few. American sax player Branford Marsalis was very enthusiastic about Jonasson's playing after a jam session in Falsterbo, Sweden. Thomas plays in the tradition that Lester Young, Coleman Hawkins, Ben Webster and Stan Getz paved the way for, although he does it in his own, personal way.
