Carlan Pulkkinen

Guelph and Toronto based drummer/composer Carlan Pulkkinen continues to work in multiple aspects of the industry with experience as a freelance performer, teacher, and in live sound/recording/mixing. He has played in the Guelph Youth Jazz Ensemble and the Hamilton Rising Star Big Band and at venues such as The Rex (Toronto), Niagara Jazz Festival, Guelph Jazz Festival and Guelph's Hillside Festival. He has studied with well respected drummers Ted Warren and Ernesto Cervini. His first album was released in 2021 and he is a current bachelor of music student at the University of Toronto's jazz program.
