Stephan Tenney

Stephan Tenney is a trombonist, vocalist, and arranger based out of New Orleans, Louisiana. He started playing trombone at the age of 10, living his entire life around professional musicians. Stephan attended the Berklee College of Music where he studied with Marshall Gilkes and Phil Wilson, the past and present Masters of the Trombone. 

​Stephan has played Jazz Festivals across the globe and toured throughout the United States and Europe. He has also played with the likes of Ralph Peterson Jr., Matt Catingub, Jens Lindemann, Paquito D’Rivera, Catherine Russell, Frank Lacy, Judith Owen and Phil Wilson.

​He has won several awards in both Jazz and Trombone playing and continues to play regularly in clubs all throughout the United States. Stephan is currently composing and prepping music for release sometime in 2025. The albums' idea is to combine his love of traditional jazz and modern rhythmic composition into one harmonious suite of music.
