Mize and the Drive

Sometimes timing is everything, and Mize and the Drive of Murfreesboro, TN is proof of that as the band has been in the making for nearly a decade. Mize was formed in the Fall of 2009 when a group of friends who had been performing music in some shape or form for over eight years across Middle Tennessee decided to unite in hopes of creating a new original sound.

Combining elements of blues, funk, jazz, folk, & classic rock, the band is rounded out by a unique approach to lyrics and songwriting with no limits to instrumentation or genre. By blending wildly different inputs into one seamless effort, Mize & the Drive has created a unique sound that is clever, refreshing, and undoubtedly Southern. The band is currently preparing to release an EP and booking shows in the greater Nashville area.
