Meg Clifton

Meg Clifton is 26 years old. She has her Masters in Jazz studies. Her style has been described as swinging with a fresh and sexy quality and rich with the knowledge of jazz vocal history.

Meg has been performing regularly at Chris' Jazz Cafe in Philadelphia, PA which was noted by DownBeat Magazine as being one of the 100 greatest jazz clubs on the international scene.

Meg has performed at the Rosemary Clooney Festival in Lexington, KY, Ticonderoga Festival, New York, Quinnipiac University in Connecticut, frequently at the Sellersville Theatre, Sellersville, PA, Philadelphia Art Museum, Philadelphia, PA and the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, PA. Some of her upcoming events will be at the Chadds Ford Jazz Festival, Pennsylvania and the Stockton College in New Jersey.

Meg recorded her first CD, You're a Sweetheart, with the fantastic saxophonist, Eric Alexander, trumpeter, John Swana, guitarist, Peter Bernstein, bassist, Lee Smith and drummer, Dan Monaghan. With this group, Meg recorded classic jazz standards such as Up Jump Spring, A Time for Love, I Wish You Love, and the Beatles hit, Here Comes the Sun, and other great selections.

In addition to the musicians mentioned above, Meg has worked with saxophonists, Larry McKenna, Bootsie Bames, Grant Stewart, and Harry Alien, guitarists, Jonathan Kreisberg, Craig Ebner, Pete Smyser, and she works frequently with vocalist, Mary Ellen Desmond, singing The Great American Song Book.
