Boston, MA – Matthew Nicholl has been named executive director of the Mediterranean Music Institute (MMI) at Berklee College of Music. In his new role, Nicholl will collaborate with MMI artistic director and seven-time Latin Grammy winner Javier Limon to develop curriculum supporting the performance, composition, and study of Mediterranean music and culture at the college's Boston and Valencia campuses. He will continue to serve as chair of Berklee's Contemporary Writing and Production in Boston, while commuting to Spain occasionally. ...

BOSTON, MA, October 16, 2002 -- Prolific musician and award-winning educator Matthew Nicholl was recently appointed chair of the Contemporary Writing and Production Department at Berklee College of Music.

Since 1980, Nicholl has worked as a composer/arranger and keyboardist.
