Marcya Daneille
Marcya Daneille was born in Stuttgart Germany began studying and performing at the age of 7. As a competitive singer during her undergraduate studies, Marcya was able to continue developing her career as a singer and pianist. She is the recipient of numerous awards including, ‘Young Artist of the Year with the Lakeview Music Society,’ ‘Young Artist of the Year with the Bel Canto Chorus of Milwaukee,’ an honorable mention from N.A.T.S. (National Association of Teachers of Singing), as well as a Young Artist slot at the International Art Song Festival held at the University of Wisconsin at Milwaukee. Marcya was granted her first contract with a regional opera company (Lyric Theatre of Illinois) as a freshman in college. While in college, Marcya continued to sing professionally as a member of the Lincoln Opera Chicago.
Marcya has been fortunate to work with a host of artists such as world renowned Jazz Trombonist, Wycliffe Gordon, Burt Eckoff-former pianist for the late Dakota Staton, Bebe Winans, Vanessa Williams, Laurel Masse of Manhattan Transfer, and the late Gerald Levert to name a few. She has performed at such notable places as Jazz at Lincoln Center, The Apollo Theater, Alice Tully Hall, SOB’s, Ashford and Simpson’s Sugar Bar, and Café Cielo.
Marcya has created a niche for herself as a versatile vocalist with an inspiring musical sensibility and impressive technical skill. Marcya is a a singer's singer who makes you feel that you're hearing classic jazz standards for the first time. Her debut CD, “Keeping It Simple,” which was co-produced by Marcya Daneille and Wycliffe Gordon is currently available for purchase at CD Baby, Itunes and Amazon.

teaching/performing experience, Marcya offers solid technical
training which is relevant to the needs of her clients.
Marcya specializes in Cross-Genre singing (Classical, Jazz,
Pop, R&B and Gospel) which is supported by the Bel Canto
technique (diaphragmatic breathing, placement of the tone in
the vocal masque, pure vowels, etc.) Clients learn to sing free
of tension while not detracting from the stylistic authenticity of
their chosen genre
