Joseph Silvers

Joseph Silvers is a Chapel Hill-based guitarist. With a primary background in jazz, he has studied and/or performed with Scott Sawyer, Frank Vignola, Rex Griffin, Michael Joseph Harris, James Gilmore, and Dr. Young Kim, among others. In 2017 he attended Django A Gogo, an intensive music camp where he studied with world-renowned masters of the jazz manouche tradition, including Stochelo Rosenberg, Paulus Schäfer, Olli Soikelli, and Stephane Wrembel. He has attended and been a featured performer at master classes hosted by American jazz guitar greats, including Jim Hall, John Abercrombie, and Howard Alden. He performs regularly across North Carolina.
