Jordan Robinson
Jordan Robinson is an Ottawa guitarist, composer and producer, and the founder of the instrumental jazz-rock fusion band Finely Tuned Elephant, which he started in 2019. He has writing credits on all three of the band's albums, Perfect Coincidence (2020), The Fast Life (2022) and No Goats (2026), and produced all three at Finely Tuned Studios, the Ottawa studio he has run since 2014. No Goats, the band's first album recorded as a full quartet with Cyrus Robertson Orkish (bass), Alex Lugli (keyboards) and Kyle Iveglia (drums), was produced, engineered, mixed and mastered by Robinson.
Robinson holds a Bachelor of Education (Senior Music) from the University of Ottawa and a minor in music from Carleton University. His influences include Guthrie Govan, Allan Holdsworth, Greg Howe and the Japanese fusion band Casiopea, whose music Finely Tuned Elephant has performed at sold-out tribute shows in Ottawa and Montreal. He also plays guitar on, and produced, Thalassophobia's Incorporeal Power (2024).
