James Hogan

James Hogan is an artist who is regarded highly by his peers and is in constant demand as a touring sideman, studio musician and producer. Hogan is a "guitarist's guitarist" who is admired worldwide for his musicianship, soulfulness and authentic style. This is evident on James Hogan's acclaimed 2004 album "True Diversity." In addition to a successful performance career, James Hogan is a renowned music educator. James was a Senior Instructor at The National Guitar Workshop's Florida, Connecticut, Nashville, Virginia and SUNY Purchase campuses from 1998-2012. Hogan is currently an Adjunct Professor at The University Of North Florida and at Florida State College. He's also a featured TrueFire Educator. James holds a Bachelor's Degree in Jazz Performance (Summa Cum Laude) from UNF's highly acclaimed Jazz Performance program, where he was a Collegiate Downbeat Award winner and student of jazz guitar virtuoso Barry Greene and jazz legend Bunky Greene. James Hogan is a featured artist and "Master Mentor" at the annual Crown Guitar Festival in Big Fork, Montana. Hogan's articles have been published in Premier Guitar, Riff and Guitar Player Magazines and his instructional videos are produced by TrueFire.
