Ilja Dvoretskiy

Russian flutist Was born august 1976 in Moscow. At age of 7 became studying flute with Nikolay Kondrashov. 1991 entered State School of Woodwind Art. 1994 became a student of Gnessin’s Russian Academy of Music and continue studying flute with Albert Gofman. 1998 - laureate 1st prize at International Chamber Ensemble Competition (Grodno, Belarus) Since 1999, he was a participant and one of the founders of the well-known collective "Marimba Plus". Being an enthusiastic musician, he mastered various styles of flute playing, as well as genres such as: jazz, ethno, world music. Since that time Marimba Plus recorded 7 original CDs with author's music: Marimba Plus (2001) Charmed World (2004) (recorded with A. Shilkloper) Zebrano (2005) Celestial Elephant (2007) Cinemania (2008) Flight over the world (2012) New Heart (2016) 2012 Ilja became a member of Moscow Philharmonic orchestra, conducted by Yuri Simonov. Have a beautiful duo with his daughter Ekaterina Dvoretskaya (harp).
