Harold Charon

Harold Charon is a Pianist, Composer, and Performer from Havana, Cuba, based in Boston, MA. He began piano lessons at 5 years old. His education was primarily classical, later Latin Jazz, and Jazz. In 2012, he was selected as a student of the National School of Music, to play on a tour around Canada at the “Halifax Jazz Festival.” In 2014 Harold got invited to play and study at Stanford Summer Jazz Camp, where he received training from Taylor Eigsti, Chick Corea and Fred Hersh. Harold has worked with different bands in Cuba, exploring different styles. Bands such as Leo Vera, La Cruzada, Los Clasicos, and others. In 2016, he joined Janio Abreu and Aire D’ Concierto, where he worked mostly as pianist and later he worked for Ruy Lopez-Nussa y La Academia as well. Participating with both bands in the editions of the Jazz Plaza in Havana, Cuba. In Berklee he played in many concerts at the BPC and had the privilege to receive private lessons from the great performer and composer Billy Childs. Now he just finished his studies at Berklee College of Music, majoring in Jazz Composition and Performance.
