Gerald Chavis

Gerald Chavis is a world-class trumpeter in the Philadelphia, PA area. You may see him perform in a multitude of venues including churches, wedding receptions, concerts, jazz festivals, and more along with the finest bands in the region. His credits include performing and/or recording with many national and regional acts including Mick Jagger, Phyllis Hyman, The Dells, Jamalladeen Tacuma, The O'Jays, and more.

A student of the late Robert "Boysie" Lowery, who taught the late, great Wilmington, Delaware trumpeter Clifford Brown, saxophone great Ernie Watts and others. Chavis is a versatile, ever-expressive trumpeter for the new millennium. He can bop with the best and switch gears to render the smooth, effects-laden blends featured in today's "smooth" jazz.
