Ethan Oliver
Ethan Oliver is a drummer from Garner, North Carolina, and a second-year Jazz Studies student at The Juilliard School in New York City. Recognized for his versatility, musicality, and dynamic approach to the drums, Ethan has quickly established himself as one of the most promising young musicians of his generation.
A three-time recipient of the Outstanding Drummer Award at Jazz at Lincoln Center's Essentially Ellington Competition , Ethan has performed with distinguished artists including Sean Jones, Jason Moran, Gerald Clayton, Marcus Printup, Luciana Souza, Hamilton de Holanda, and Joshua Redman.
Ethan has appeared on renowned stages including Carnegie Hall, the Monterey Jazz Festival, the Caramoor Jazz Festival, and the Montreal International Jazz Festival. His career has taken him on tours throughout the United States, South Africa, and South America, performing with ensembles such as NYO Jazz, the Next Generation Jazz Orchestra, and other acclaimed groups. In addition to live performance, he has contributed to studio recording projects and continues to perform with leading musicians across the jazz community.
