Eslabon Armado

The record-breaking group Eslabon Armado has defied cultural barriers to surpass all expectations in the most unconventional way possible. Becoming the first ever Mexican act to reach No. 1 on Billboard’s Global 200, they are conquering the world and overcoming adversities in the most unconventional way. Born and raised in California to Mexican immigrant parents, Eslabon Armado consists of brothers Pedro Tovar Jr. (vocals) and Brian Tovar (bass), alongside Damian Pacheco (requinto guitar) and Ulises Gonzalez (acoustic guitar). With the recent global success of “Ella Baila Sola”, they have pioneered Regional Mexican music to an unmatched level of worldwide dominance.

The group began as a trio in 2017 and was deeply influenced by the music of their parent’s generation. They started studying and playing ranchero and norteño music as young kids, performing at small venues and posting clips on Youtube in hopes of gaining recognition. Their music was eventually recognized by Ángel del Villar of Del Records, marking a monumental start in their career. “Ella Baila Sola” reached No. 4 on Billboard’s Hot 100, becoming the first Regional Mexican song to reach the top 10. The song also peaked at No. 1 on Billboard’s Global 200 chart and set the record for being the only Mexican act in history to reach the top of the chart.
