Elise Vassallucci

Lyricist, composer, violinist and vocalist, Elise Vassallucci invites you into her sensitive and mysterious universe through her voice and her stories. With her lyrics combined to the arrangements of Pierre Mikdjian on piano, Nghia Duong on double bass and Léo Archard on drums, she tells about the ups and downs of life, taking you on a joyride that might keep you up at night !

Elise Vassallucci, born in 1998 in Marseille, is a writer, composer, vocalist and violinist. She graduated from Aix-en-Provence Conservatoire in classical violin, French Chanson and jazz. She then graduated with the highest distinction from Marseille’s Conservatoire, under saxophone player and head of department Raphaël Imbert. Between 2023 and 2025, she studied in Paris at the CMDL (Centre des musiques Didier Lockwood). During her time there, she attended masterclasses from André Minvielle, Camille Bertault, Rachel Gould, Sandra Nkaké and Jazzmeia Horn.

Her love of literature and writing led her to create her own project in 2019, collaborating with Pierre Mikdjian on piano and keys, Nghia Duong on double bass and Léo Achard on drums. In 2024, her project received the Cécile Pollet-Le Rezo Award. That same year, Elise had the opportunity to take part in the Rencontres d’Astaffort, an artistic residency spanning ten days where she met and worked with French singer Francis Cabrel, founder of the programme.

Between Paris and Marseille, Elise has featured with artists such as saxophonist Raphaël Imbert and guitarist Celia Kameni. Her first album Capharnaüm is to be released on the 31st of January 2025, inviting the listener into her sensitive and mysterious universe through her voice and her stories. She tells about the ups and downs of life, taking you on a joyride that might keep you up at night!
