Like the birthplace of the Modern Electronic Dance movement itself, DJ Holographic (aka Ariel Catalina) had her origins in Detroit, Michigan. She has already begun to prove herself as a fresh face and unique voice in the ever-expanding local DJ scene. What sets her apart is an emphasis on both the audio and visual experience of electronic music, as well as a fierce loyalty to her growing fan base, which she sees as part of her extended musical family. What do house parties, high school proms, underground music scenes, and international clubs have in common? They have all been host to DJ Holographic. From Necto in Ann Arbor, Michigan, to the China Lounge in Hamburg, Germany, Holographic has unleashed her sonic creations on an international scale. The fundamental mission of DJ Holographic is to represent the creative and innovative identity of Detroit, and the state of Michigan as a whole.
