Side A: Each thing is opposed to everything which can take its existence away. Side B: The effort for self-preservation is nothing else but the essence of the thing in question.

Konatus has been around for about 12 years. In 2009 they released their first cd ”Baruch”. Some reviews: http://www.paristransatlantic.com/magazine/monthly2010/05may_text.html#8 http://www.vitalweekly.net/701.html http://www.soundofmusic.nu/recension/konatus-baruch (Swedish)
This spring sees the release of their second album, ”Ethics”, this time on vinyl.
Consisting of two of Sweden’s foremost and most unique composers, Ida Lundén and Dror Feiler, Sweden’s most energetic improv-drummer Niklas Korssell and bandleader David Linnros, Konatus lives in the blind spot where free jazz, noise and life meet. Never thinking about putting words on their music it’s an instant creation of their idiosyncratic perspectives. Clashes nonetheless arise in their music: between electronic and acoustic, deadpan seriousness and tongue-in-cheek playfulness, earshattering intensity and sparse quiet interaction.
