David Kayode

West London–born saxophonist David Kayode is one of the rising stars of the UK jazz scene. A graduate of Tomorrow’s Warriors, mentored by Gary Crosby OBE and Camilla George, Kayode has developed a commanding tenor sound that blends the traditions of jazz with the grooves of reggae, Ghanaian highlife, and West African rhythms.

He has performed with the Gary Crosby Sextet in the acclaimed Mingus Moves series, toured internationally with Moses Boyd, and collaborated with artists including Nii Maxine and Osibisa. Leading his own ensemble, Kayode brings a groove-driven, carnival-inspired energy to contemporary jazz, earning him features at the EFG London Jazz Festival, Pizza Express Live, and in the I Am Warrior series co-produced by One Jazz and Jazz FM.
